Get your pressure canner tested from a trusted source – staff from our local Virginia Cooperative Extension Office – to ensure that your canning equipment is safe to use during the upcoming gardening and canning season. Canning lids can be dropped off prior to either of the two event dates and picked up anytime after 3 pm on the date of the event(s) during normal business hours.
Each lid inspected will receive informational paperwork with suggestions on replacement parts, if any, or a “clean bill of health” for the upcoming season. While you’re here you can shop for all of the supplies you need for canning and preserving this summer/fall!
