About The Farm Ministry
People Helping People
The heart of The Farm Ministry is centered around this principle.
The Farm Ministry is a ministry of hope. The ministry is a resource to support farmers through the purchase of the products they produce from donated funds. The agricultural products are donated to less fortunate people in need within the communities served.
Cheese Ministry
Founded in 2017, the Cheese Ministry has contributed an estimated $500,000 in retail value of high-quality cheese to local food pantries
Pork For The Pantry
Since 2016 Pork For The Pantry has purchased hogs from local 4-H/FFA livestock exhibitors and contributed the processed protein to local pantries through the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank
Beef Ministry
The newest Ministry program, 2,500 pounds of fresh beef hamburger has been donated to community programs such as Mercy House, and other worthwhile non-profits
The Farm Ministry
Carrying the same name as our non-profit, the Farm Ministry aims to benefit agricultural producers through educational meetings and coaching on improved financial practices and more effective management on their own operations. The Farm Ministry, through their educational programming, has impacted agricultural producers across several farming sectors throughout Virginia, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Ohio, North Carolina, and surrounding states.
“People Helping People is what our work is all about”
– Keith Turner, The Farm Ministry Founder
Proudly Sponsored By

Rockingham Cooperative
Serving Agriculture since 1921
The Farm Ministry is at the heart of what Rockingham Cooperative was formed to be in 1921, and aligns with the principles of the cooperative still to this day. Through the support of the Rockingham Cooperative Board of Directors, our cooperative’s employees spearhead many of the ministry programs, with other outside partners.
