Agronomy Division Update - April 2025

dry fertilizer spreader in field

Spring is finally here after an actual “real” winter. Months of cold weather and wind make these 70-degree days a welcome change.

April is a perfect time to apply fertilizer and weed control to hay and pasture fields, I prefer earlier than later. We offer liquid application as well as dry fertilizer impregnation and both are extremely effective.

Also now is the time to look at any fallow fields that are going to be planted in corn or soybeans. An April burndown accompanied by a residual herbicide allows ground to warm up quickly and stay clean, making early planting successful.

Whether you are planting row crops, hay, or pasture we have the products, equipment, and people to help in every way. Please reach out to any of our agronomy locations or your field representatives for information regarding your spring needs.

We are also excited to have Channel seed for 2025. Eleven regional brands, including Hubner rolled into Channel this year delivering proven Bayer technology for the valley.
